I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a.) identify what is sentence;

b.) determine the different kinds of sentence; and

c.) construct or make a sentence.

II. Subject Matter:

Topic: Sentence

References: Book, Internet

Materials: Manila paper, ruler, pentel pen, flash cards

III. Teaching Procedure:

Teacher’s Activity

a.)Preliminary Activity

Greetings

Prayer

Checking of Attendance

b.)Motivation

Students should identify the words given if it is sentence or not.

1. She is beautiful.                       4. a cap.

2. lucky guy.  5. The dress is

3. They are laughing.

c.)Presentation

Present to them different words containing subject and predicate.

  1. Marrion is a boy.
  2. The baby is crying.
  3. They laugh at the lobby.
  4. She is wearing her elegant gown.
  5. He was a good mentor before.

Ask the students of what is sentence, what is subject and predicate.

d.)Exercises

Let the students to give a simple sentence containing a subject and predicate.

IV. Evaluation

Construct at least five (5) sentences and underline the Subject and Predicate.

V. Assignment

Underline the subject and predicate.

1. The boy is running.

2. May talks slowly.

3. They ate tofu.

4. You are gorgeous.

5. He is walking.
